Kirchtag in Oberlana – Nativity of Mary

On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Oberlana (Municipality of Lana, South Tyrol) celebrated the patronal feast of the Nativity of Mary. The 8:00 AM Holy Mass in the Capuchin church opened the day, followed by the solemn procession with readings of the four Gospels along the traditional route between Gries and Meraner Straße.

The parade, animated by mortar salutes, traditional costume groups (Tracht), and flag-wavers, was accompanied by the Bürgerkapelle Lana, confirming its reputation as one of the most colorful processions in Tyrol. The festival then continued in the Gaul Gorge with live music, South Tyrolean specialties, and the afternoon concert by the civic band.
