Kirchtag in Afing (Afinger Kirchtag)

The 2025 Edition

The Kirchtag in Afing 2025 was held on July 19 and 20 at the Festplatz in the hamlet of Afing, in the municipality of San Genesio Atesino/Jenesien. As per tradition, the Musikkapelle Afing invited villagers and visitors to two days of folk music and conviviality.

The program followed the classic South Tyrolean Kirchtag structure: Saturday dedicated to concerts and evening entertainment, and Sunday opened by the procession and Holy Mass at the Church of St. Nicholas, followed by the grand brass band parade, concerts, and the lottery draw. There was no shortage of typical South Tyrolean gastronomy, in an authentic and familiar festive atmosphere on the Salten plateau.
