Edition 2025 — Guasinga Kirschta

The 2025 edition of the Guasinga Kirschta took place on the first weekend of October, with the Almabtrieb on Sunday, October 5th. The village of Gais enjoyed two days of celebration with the Kirschtamichl tree, folk music, and the heated marquee. The highlight was the cattle drive with decorated cows, goats, and donkeys parading through the center, accompanied by groups in traditional costume and the Schuhplattler.

Guasinga Kirschta 2025

The 2025 edition of the Kirchtag & Almabtrieb in Gais was held on the first weekend of October in the center of Gais, in the Taufers-Ahrntal valley. On Saturday, the committee raised the characteristic Kirschtamichl-Baum, kicking off the festival animated by live music and South Tyrolean specialties under the heated marquee.

Sunday afternoon featured the grand Almabtrieb: the parade of herds descending from the pastures, with decorated cows, goats, and donkeys wearing cowbells, led by groups in traditional costume and accompanied by the Schuhplattler performed by local youth and regional brass bands, including the Musikkapelle Gais.
