KinoAppennino

The first edition of KinoAppennino, in July 2025, brought the festival to life, transforming Pettorano sul Gizio into an open-air film laboratory. For six days, over 40 participants from all over Europe and beyond worked side-by-side with dozens of residents and local businesses in the village.

The result was remarkable: 18 short films shot in just six days, dedicated to themes of rewilding, healing through natural landscapes, and responsible resource management. The public screenings, held in the open-air theater of Palazzo Zannelli, attracted over 200 spectators, with an additional encore screening at the end of August. A debut that established Pettorano sul Gizio as a natural set for Apennine cinema.
