Edition 2025 — Kino Ensemble
In 2025, the Kultur Ensemble's Franco-German Film Festival took place from June 23 to 26 at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, with screenings at 6 PM and 9 PM with free admission. Four evenings of auteur cinema and European co-productions between the Goethe-Institut's Sala Wenders, the Spazio Open, and the Institut français terrace, paving the way for what would become the Kino Ensemble festival in 2026.
2025 Edition: Four evenings of European cinema
From June 23 to 26, 2025, the Franco-German Film Festival of the Kultur Ensemble brought the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa in Palermo to life, with two screenings per day, at 6 PM and 9 PM, and free admission.

- June 23 — Schiuma di mondi · Cumbia Madre by Anna Marziano and Mario Estrada (Sala Wenders); Langue étrangère by Claire Burger (Spazio Open)
- June 24 — Intercepted by Oksana Karpovych; Vena by Chiara Fleischhacker
- June 25 — Viva la libertà! Don Juan, mort et vif by Mosco Levi Boucault; The Last Laugh (Der letzte Mann) by F. W. Murnau with live musical accompaniment
- June 26 — Tell them about us by Rand Beiruty; Upshot by Maha Haj (Institut français terrace)
The initiative, promoted by the French and German Embassies in Italy, confirmed the Cantieri della Zisa as a space for European cinematic dialogue in the heart of Palermo.
