Jungian Analytical Psychology Festival in Dialogue with Art

The first edition in Testaccio

The festival's debut in May 2025 chose the Città dell'altra Economia in Testaccio, a historic space for Roman associations housed in the former slaughterhouses. Three days, from Friday to Sunday, with completely free admission.

The A.I.P.A. working group, composed of Jungian analysts and illustrators, built an entirely experiential program: workshops in comics, illustration, animation, music, theater, and dance, designed to make the creative process accessible to everyone and to show how art can be a tool for self-knowledge and communication.

There was no shortage of references to the Jungian tradition of symbolic play, from the Sand Play Therapy developed by Dora Maria Kalff to active imagination. The event was completed by an open-access gaming area and a bookstore curated by L'Altracittà. The positive public response encouraged the organizers to move the following edition to the larger spaces of the Fiera di Roma.
