Edition 2025 — 225 Years Musikkapelle Auer

Throughout 2025, the Musikkapelle Auer continued its intense activity as the local band of Ora (Auer), with seasonal concerts and participation in community life, preparing the ground for the grand 225th-anniversary jubilee scheduled for May 2026. The ensemble, one of the oldest in South Tyrol, represents a cultural landmark for the Bassa Atesina.

The Musikkapelle Auer in 2025

In 2025, the Musikkapelle Auer continued to animate the musical life of Ora (Auer), a municipality in the Bassa Atesina area in the province of Bolzano, with its concert activity and presence at local festivities. Heir to a brass band tradition dating back to 1801 and marked by the long leadership of Sepp Thaler starting in 1922, the band experienced the year as a prelude to its great anniversary: the 225 years celebrated subsequently with the Jubiläumsfest of May 2026 at Heinrich-Lona-Platz. Constant activity that testifies to the central role of the Musikkapellen in the cultural identity of the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
