Edition 2025 — Ju Catenacce

On August 14, 2025, the historic center of Scanno hosted Ju Catenacce, the re-enactment of the ancient Scanno wedding. In the late afternoon, around 6:00 PM, the bridal procession in traditional costume wound through the village alleys following the bride and groom, leading to Piazza della Madonna della Valle, where the ancient wedding dance took place with the offering of traditional pastries to the spectators.

Ju Catenacce 2025

The 2025 edition of Ju Catenacce took place on August 14th in the historic center of Scanno, confirming the most anticipated event of the village's summer. The wedding procession, with the bride and groom in the lead and participants in pairs wearing the precious Scanno costume, walked through the stone alleys amidst traditional songs and music. The re-enactment concluded in Piazza della Madonna della Valle with the wedding dance and the distribution of traditional pastries, attracting numerous visitors to the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
