Edition 2025 — Ju Buk Festival

In the summer of 2025, Ju Buk Festival brought its women-led literary showcase to Scanno, featuring book presentations, debates, readings, and meetings with writers, journalists, and activists. Reaffirming its identity as a cultural and political space along the Transhumance route, the festival offered a program of free events dedicated to rights, memory, and local territories, engaging the public of the Abruzzo village and its summer visitors.

The 2025 edition of Ju Buk Festival confirmed Scanno, in the Abruzzo National Park, as one of the main venues for the literary festival directed by Eleonora de Nardis Giansante. Between the lake, the mountains, and the forests of the village in the L'Aquila province, the festival enlivened the summer with book presentations, debates, readings, exhibitions, and meetings with authors and journalists.

Faithful to its vocation as an inclusive and participatory space, the festival addressed themes related to rights, memory, and civic engagement, with free admission to all events. The edition consolidated the festival's bond with the Abruzzo territory and the Transhumance route, which ideally connects Scanno and Peschici.
