Edition 2025 — Jesus Nazarene Festival

The 2025 edition of the Jesus Nazarene Festival was notable for its particularly extended calendar, from June 8 to 29, with the Triumphal Chariot rites concentrated on the weekend of June 14 and 15. The Solemn Concelebrated Eucharistic Mass on Sunday was presided over by Cardinal Baldassare Reina, a sign of the great importance the festival has assumed in the Sicilian religious landscape.

In 2025, the Jesus Nazarene Festival of San Giovanni Gemini, in the province of Agrigento, offered an expanded program that ran from June 8 to 29, with numerous religious and folk appointments. The Triumphal Chariot rites reached their peak on the weekend of June 14-15: the dawn procession and the mmurditura of the tiller on Saturday, and on Sunday—the Solemnity of Jesus Nazarene—the procession of the Crown and Votive Candles at dawn, the coronation of the statue at noon, and the 'acchianata' of the chariot in the evening. A moment of particular solemnity was the Concelebrated Eucharistic Mass presided over by H.E. Cardinal Baldassare Reina.
