Edition 2025 — Wheat Festival

The 220th edition of the Jelsi Wheat Festival took place on July 25 and 26, 2025, renewing the vow from 1805 to Saint Anne with the spectacular parade of wheat wagons and floats and the hand-braided wheat braids by the village women.

The 2025 edition celebrated 220 years since the tradition began in 1805 after the earthquake that spared Jelsi. As every year, on July 26th, the village in the province of Campobasso saw the parade of wagons and allegorical floats covered grain by grain with ears of wheat, accompanied by women with long wheat braids. The blessing of the floats, masses in honour of Saint Anne, and evening events attracted thousands of visitors, confirming the festival as one of Molise's most iconic arboreal rituals.
