Jazz nights in the Conservatory garden of Rovigo
The Jazz Nights at Casalini Garden is the summer jazz festival of Rovigo, the capital of Polesine in Veneto, hosted in the garden of Palazzo Casalini, home to the "Francesco Venezze" State Conservatory of Music. An intimate and evocative setting where live music is enjoyed under the stars.
The event is dedicated to the memory of Marco Tamburini (1959-2015), a great jazz trumpeter who passed away prematurely and was associated with the Rovigo Conservatory. The "Memorial" bearing his name renews each year the spirit that Tamburini had envisioned: a space for shared expression among established musicians, faculty, and students.
The festival intertwines concerts by major guests with the involvement of Conservatory students, fostering a dialogue between advanced training and the professional scene. Often in collaboration with the Deltablues festival, the Jazz Nights offer evenings of contemporary jazz that have featured prominent international names, confirming Rovigo as a small but vibrant jazz capital of Polesine.
The 2026 edition of the Jazz Nights at Casalini Garden coincides with the XII Marco Tamburini Memorial and is part of the Deltablues 2026 lineup, the 39th edition of the blues and jazz festival of Polesine. The opening night, Thursday, June 18th, at Parco Casalini, features Fabrizio Bosso & New Project Orchestra with a concert dedicated to Miles Davis on his birth centenary. The festival continues with other events in the "Venezze" Conservatory garden.
The festival continues in the garden of Palazzo Casalini with jazz evenings featuring prominent guests, faculty, and students of the "Francesco Venezze" Conservatory. The complete schedule is published on the Rovigo Conservatory's channels and as part of Deltablues. The detailed program for subsequent dates will be announced closer to summer.
The "Venezze" Conservatory is located in Corso del Popolo, in the center of Rovigo, within walking distance of the station. The city is accessible via the A13 motorway and the Bologna-Padua and Verona-Rovigo railway lines.
