Itinera 2025: the second edition

The second edition of Itinera – Travel Literature & Other Paths Festival took place from August 29 to 31, 2025, in the three towns of the Tirino Valley: Villa Santa Lucia degli Abruzzi, Ofena, and Capestrano. Organized by the Maks Cultural Association, the edition gave ample space to Abruzzese writers and the region's newest voices.

Highlights included the presentation of "l'Abruzzese fuori sede" with Gino Bucci in Villa Santa Lucia, meetings with authors Angelo De Nicola and Anna Rita Severini, and writer Eraldo Affinati at "la Dama di Capestrano", as well as the storytelling event "Illustrated folk narratives: a journey from text to illustration" with illustrator Michela Di Lanzo. On Saturday, August 30, at the Filomena Silvestrone Library in Ofena, the meditative writing workshop "Writing as a mirror" was held, led by writer Barbara Summa: the only ticketed event of the festival, with limited seating.
