Edition 2025 — Italo-Scalettese Carnival

The 2025 edition, the 46th in the history of the Italo-Scalettese Carnival, took place between late February and early March. Following children's activities and the 'Golden Mask' competition at the Scaletta cultural center, the grand parade of masked groups took place on Sunday, March 2, along Via Roma, from Itala toward Scaletta Zanclea, accompanied by the Umbrillara comic band.

The 46th edition of the Italo-Scalettese Carnival, in 2025, renewed the historic festival between the towns of Itala and Scaletta Zanclea, in the province of Messina.

The program featured, during the carnival days, initiatives dedicated to children such as 'In the Magical World of Masks', organized by the Pro Loco Giovanello of Itala, and the 'Golden Mask 2025' competition at the multi-purpose cultural center of Scaletta, with Baby (0-5 years) and Junior (6-10 years) categories. On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the traditional parade of masked groups took place along Via Roma, starting from Itala and arriving in Scaletta Zanclea, accompanied by the Umbrillara comic band, in a day of color, music, and fun for the entire Ionian Riviera.
