Edition 2025 — Ruzzolone Championship Sestola

In 2025 as well, the Val di Sasso tracks in Sestola hosted the great national ruzzolone throwing event. Hundreds of throwers, coming from provinces in central and northern Italy such as Modena, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Perugia, Terni, Rieti, Viterbo, Frosinone, Arezzo, and Milan, competed in categories A, B, and C, confirming Sestola as one of the reference centers for this ancient traditional sport of the Apennines.

The 2025 edition of the ruzzolone throwing championship in Sestola attracted a large number of throwers to the Val di Sasso tracks, coming from many Italian provinces. The competitions, divided into categories A, B, and C, took place on the characteristic "treppi" of the Modenese Apennines, according to FIGeST rules. The event, organized with the patronage of the Municipality of Sestola and the Province of Modena, confirmed the vitality of this traditional sport, accompanied as usual by a refreshment point with specialties from the Modenese mountains.
