Edition 2025 — Italian Race Walking Championships

In 2025, the Italian road race walking titles were still awarded over the traditional 20 km distance, prior to the transition to the half-marathon introduced the following year. The edition, hosted at another venue on the federal calendar, confirmed race walking as one of the first disciplines to award national titles, effectively opening the competitive season of Italian athletics.

The 2025 edition of the Italian Road Race Walking Championships was held on March 30, before the event moved to Alessandria. The absolute titles were awarded over the classic 20 km distance, the last time before the reform that introduced the half-marathon race walk. As is tradition, road race walking was among the first disciplines on the FIDAL calendar to award national titles, officially kicking off the competitive season of Italian athletics.
