Edition 2025 — Balloon Grand Prix

The 2025 edition of the Italian International Balloon Grand Prix brought dozens of hot air balloons from numerous countries to Umbria, with the usual dawn flights from the Gualdo Cattaneo and Massa Martana bases and the spectacular evening Night Glow on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, in front of thousands of spectators.

The 2025 edition confirmed the Italian International Balloon Grand Prix as the most important aerostatic event in Italy. For ten days, dozens of international crews livened up the skies of central Umbria with morning flights from the bases in Gualdo Cattaneo and Massa Martana, flying over vineyards, olive groves, and medieval villages. The evening Night Glow on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, with the illuminated hot air balloons like enormous lanterns in the dark, was a major draw. The event combined aerial sport, spectacle, and the region's food and wine promotion.
