Ischia Port Festival

For the 171st anniversary, the Municipality of Ischia brought the festival back to its historical date, Wednesday, September 17, 2025. At 6 PM, the water was cleared of boats, and King Ferdinand II made his triumphant entrance, kicking off the historical walk that traveled from the Banchina Olimpica through Piazza Antica Reggia, Via Roma, Corso Vittoria Colonna, and Piazzetta San Girolamo, with costumes provided by the Costumeria Polvere di Stelle.

From 8 PM, Piazza Antica Reggia hosted the Live Napolitan Show featuring the voices of Francesco Viglietti and Marianita Carfora, accompanied by piano, cello, and drums, while tastings took place along the route: bread and mortadella, the King's spaghetti, and island wines. At 9:45 PM, the grand finale on the water, Prima il mare… poi viene la luna, directed by the Festi Group, featured light displays, acrobatics, and pyromusical fireworks; at 11 PM, the event concluded, and the port returned to its normal activity.

Wednesday, September 17, 2025 — 6:00 PM: clearing and closing of the port, triumphant entrance of King Ferdinand II of Bourbon, and historical costume walk through the town center (Banchina Olimpica, Piazza Antica Reggia, Via Roma, Corso Vittoria Colonna, Piazzetta San Girolamo, and return to Piazza Antica Reggia) with the Ischia City Marching Band. 8:00 PM: Live Napolitan Show in Piazza Antica Reggia with Francesco Viglietti and Marianita Carfora (vocals), Luigi Tirozzi (piano), Pasquale Termini (cello), and Mimmo Fiscale (drums); simultaneously, food tastings and cocktail area. 9:45 PM: water show «Prima il mare… poi viene la luna» by the Festi Group, followed by pyromusical fireworks. 11:00 PM: conclusion of the event and reopening of the port. During the event, maritime connections were modified by shipping companies.
