Irpinia Pride

The fifth edition of Irpinia Pride took place on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Avellino, confirming the itinerant vocation of the event promoted by Apple Pie Arcigay Avellino. The gathering was scheduled at 4 PM in Piazza Libertà, the heart of the capital, from which the parade departed along Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

The chosen slogan, «I'm ready, are you?», was a tribute to Tanti auguri, the 1978 song by Raffaella Carrà that has become an anthem for the LGBTQIA+ community over the years. The godmother of the edition was BigMama, a rapper and activist originally from Irpinia, while the role of godfather went to actor Lorenzo Balducci.

The day combined political advocacy and a street party, with the participation of local associations and national organizations, and paved the way for the return of Pride to Atripalda the following year.
