International Youth Classical Theatre Festival

The 2025 edition

The second Sunday of May 2025 opened the 29th edition of the International Youth Classical Theatre Festival at the Greek Theatre of Akrai, in Palazzolo Acreide. From May 11 to June 3, approximately 2,000 students performed in 85 shows, produced by as many high schools from Italy and abroad, with delegations from France, Tunisia, and Greece.

For over three weeks, the Hellenistic theatre of the archaeological site transformed into an international stage, with students engaged in staging Greek and Roman tragedies and comedies. The edition, organized as always by the INDA Foundation, confirmed the festival's extraordinary ability to bring young people closer to the heritage of classical culture through direct stage practice.
