International Wood Sculpture Symposium "Predaia Art and Nature"

The seventh edition of the International Wood Sculpture Symposium "Predaia Art and Nature" opened on Sunday, August 3, 2025, and concluded on Friday, August 9, at the Coredo lakes in the municipality of Predaia (Val di Non, Trentino). The chosen theme was "Mystery and Witchcraft," an invitation for artists to provide a personal interpretation—sometimes intriguing, sometimes amusing—of the mysteries and fantasies linked to witches and magic, a theme deeply rooted in the history of the Anaunia region.

Under the artistic direction of Gianni Mascotti (Studio Marte), the sculptors worked in public on larch blocks, using chisels and hand tools during peak visitor hours. At the end of the event, the works were permanently placed along the Viale dei Sogni trails, including "CATARSI" by Erwin Rizzardi and "STREGHE" by Mascotti himself.
