Edition 2025 — Women's Film Festival

The 46th edition of the Women's Film Festival took place in Florence from October 22 to 26, 2025, at Cinema La Compagnia, featuring an international competition of ten films and four non-competition titles. The opening featured a dialogue between journalist Rula Jebreal and director Sepideh Farsi, followed by the film "Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk". Through tributes, photography exhibitions, and meetings, the festival confirmed its role as a reference point for female-led cinema.

46th edition (2025)

The 46th edition of the Women's Film Festival was held at the Cinema La Compagnia in Florence from October 22 to 26, 2025, under the direction of Camilla Toschi and organized by the Fondazione Sistema Toscana. The international competition presented ten debut and sophomore works from several continents, with titles such as "Vanilla" by Mayra Hermosillo, "Kika" by Alexe Poukine, "Love me tender" by Anna Cazenave Cambet, "Toxic" (Golden Leopard at Locarno 2024), and "Sorry, baby" by Eva Victor.

The official opening was entrusted to a conversation between journalist Rula Jebreal and Iranian director Sepideh Farsi, followed by the film "Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk". Special events included a tribute to Anna Magnani with "Anna" by and starring Monica Guerritore, a cycle dedicated to Ida Lupino, and the free-admission exhibitions "Above and Below the Line" and "L'Occhio di Gaza". The closing film was "Un anno di scuola" by Laura Samani.
