International Templar Festival

The 5th edition of the International Templar Festival brought Alessandria to life from July 4 to 6, 2025, with the theme "The Templar Myth: from Napoleon to Umberto Eco, from Jerusalem to Hollywood", a tribute to the famous writer from Alessandria.

On Friday, July 4, in Piazza Santa Maria di Castello, the lecture-performance "The Templar legacy from the Middle Ages to Napoleon" took place. On Saturday, July 5, at Palazzo Cuttica, the roundtable "Templars, Books, and Comics" was held, followed in the evening by "The Temple's treasure and other legends". On Sunday, July 6, at the Palatium Vetus, the TREF session was dedicated to Italian and European Templar sites.

Guests included: Simonetta Cerrini, Barbara Frale, Franco Cardini, Alessandro Barbero (via video contributions), and Gian Piero Alloisio. The event, with free admission, was promoted by the City of Alessandria with the support of local institutions.
