About Organ Festival City of Este
A new festival for Este, city of music
The International Organ Festival «City of Este» debuts in 2026 with its first edition: a series of six concerts spread between March and May in the historic churches of Este (province of Padua). The project was created to enhance the historical instruments of the area and establish Este as a musical center open to the international scene.
While the Cathedral restores its organ
The festival begins concurrently with the restoration of the monumental organ of the Cathedral of Santa Tecla: a way to keep the city's organ tradition alive during the renovation period, offering the public a musical journey through the various historical instruments in Este's churches.
Great masters and new generations
The series combines internationally renowned artists and young local musicians, with a particular focus on new generations thanks to the involvement of the «City of Este» Philharmonic Orchestra, formed by students and local musicians. Admission is free to all concerts, a choice that reflects the administration's and the Parish of Santa Tecla's desire to make great music accessible to everyone.
Organ Festival City of Este — edition 2026
The 1st International Organ Festival «City of Este» features six concerts between March and May 2026, hosted in various churches of Este concurrently with the restoration of the monumental organ of the Cathedral of Santa Tecla. The series alternates internationally renowned organists and young local musicians, with the involvement of the «City of Este» Philharmonic Orchestra. All concerts are free admission.
