International Opera Competition "Anita Cerquetti"

The 2025 edition of the International Anita Cerquetti Opera Competition brought together over forty young voices from various countries in Montecosaro. The selections took place from Friday, April 11, to Sunday, April 13, at the Teatro delle Logge, with the final open to the public on Sunday afternoon. The jury, chaired by soprano Inès Salazar, awarded the first prize to the Roman mezzo-soprano Federica Fiori, 27 years old; the second prize went to soprano Aziza Omarova, and the third to Japanese soprano Hatano Chinatsu. Among the prize winners, concerts with the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra and opera engagements were planned, confirming the competition's role as a launchpad for emerging opera careers in the Marche region.
