2025 Edition: "Un ricciolo barocco"
The 41st edition of the International Midsummer Festival was held in Tagliacozzo, in the province of L'Aquila, from August 1 to August 22, 2025, with 23 events covering music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. The year's concept, "Un ricciolo barocco", recalled a taste for change and rich, articulated expression.
The inaugural concert on August 1 in the Cloister of San Francesco was free of charge and featured "Il Cantico delle Creature" and Mozart's Requiem. The programme, curated by Maestro Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli, gave ample space to Italian singer-songwriters, with tributes to Lucio Dalla, Pino Daniele, and Raffaella Carrà, and guests such as Patty Pravo, Marco Masini, Silvia Mezzanotte, Karima, Pierdavide Carone, and Valentina Persia.
