The 2025 edition

The XXI edition of the International History Festival animated Castel San Pietro Terme for almost two months, from March 14 to May 11, 2025, with events held in various city venues, all with free admission.

The program opened with a triptych dedicated to Valquaderna, featuring old postcards, aerial images, and documentaries. This was followed by meetings on the history of 19th-century brigands (Sala Sassi), the presentation of the book Storie di Guelfi e Ghibellini, and an in-depth look at Castel San Pietro in the 18th century. Among the most evocative events were the historical reenactment in costume Contessa di Maggio and the theatrical performance Il treno delle mondine at the Teatro Cassero, culminating in a final discussion on the history of food and waste reduction. An edition that, as is tradition, intertwined memory, culture, and the identity of the Emilia-Romagna region.
