Edition 2025 — InSuburbia Theater

In 2025, InSuburbia [Theater] Metropolis brought theater to the neighborhoods of the Florence metropolitan area, with stops in Calenzano and other municipalities like Bagno a Ripoli and Scandicci. The Fa.R.M. festival transformed courtyards, garden squares, and public housing into open-air stages, featuring free, fully accessible performances ranging from social theater to children's plays and monologues.

The 2025 edition of InSuburbia [Theater] Metropolis expanded its scope to the entire Florence metropolitan area, with events in Calenzano and municipalities such as Bagno a Ripoli and Scandicci. The project by the Fa.R.M. - Fabbrica dei Racconti e della Memoria association confirmed its formula: bringing theater directly into neighborhoods, public housing spaces, and everyday life settings.

In Calenzano, the festival took place in June, with performances hosted at the RSA Villa Magli and in the Piazza De André condominiums, featuring social theater, children's shows, and tragicomic monologues like "Provate in periferia" by Giusi Salis. All events were free of charge and accessible, with LIS translation and support for the visually impaired.
