Innamorata Festival (Legend of the Innamorata)

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Innamorata Festival, celebrated on July 14th in Capoliveri, on the Island of Elba, represented the 40th edition of the historical re-enactment. The evening opened at 8:30 PM with the lighting of a thousand torches in the Innamorata bay, followed by the historical pageant that departed from "La Piazzarella" with over a hundred participants in 17th-century costumes.

On the beach, the ritual of "Maria's" dive from the Scoglio della Ciarpa and the Disfida della Ciarpa between the four districts was renewed, accompanied by arias from Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Il Corsaro". The evening concluded with the lighting of the word "Innamorata" on the rock and fireworks. The edition was dedicated to the artist Piero dello Sugar Reef.
