Infiorata Extra 2025: the first edition

In 2025, Gallicano nel Lazio inaugurated the Infiorata Extra formula: a widespread exhibition of contemporary sculpture designed to make the emotion of an art that is by definition ephemeral last over time. The exhibition, titled «The Journey», was inaugurated on Saturday, July 5, in Piazza della Rocca with musical accompaniment and remained visitable until July 31, 2025.

The works of eight artists were placed in the urban fabric of the village, in dialogue with the stone architecture and the memory of the floral carpets. The chosen theme, pilgrims of hope, recalled the Holy Year and guided a path built on the relationship between matter and spirituality.

The initiative was linked to the Corpus Domini Infiorata of June 20-22, 2025, the first one made entirely with waste materials: a carpet about 280 meters long, with over fifty colors and the contribution of about five hundred people. The exhibition closed with the event «Flowers in Art», featuring music and words.
