Edition 2025 — Tavagnasco Reines Final

In autumn 2025, Tavagnasco hosted the Regional Final of the Incontri tra Reines championship, the final act of the season of Valdostana cattle battles in the Canavese. After numerous qualifying rounds held from spring to autumn in local towns, the best cows competed in the Tavagnasco arena to win the title of regional queen, in front of a large audience of breeders and enthusiasts.

The 2025 Final

The Regional Final of the Incontri tra Reines championship took place in Tavagnasco, in the Canavese region, bringing together Valdostana cows that qualified during a long season of qualifying rounds held between spring and autumn. Organized by the Associazione Amici delle Reines del Piemonte with the Pro Loco of Tavagnasco, the event confirmed the strong bond between Piedmontese breeders and those of the nearby Aosta Valley, the birthplace of the Bataille de Reines.

As per tradition, the cows faced off divided by age and weight categories, in tests of strength and tenacity that safely replicate the natural challenge for herd hierarchy. Free admission and the food area made the day a well-attended village festival, a prelude to the 2026 edition.
