Edition 2025 — Arena of Straw Bales
The seventeenth edition of the Arena of Straw Bales was held from July 9 to 15, 2025, in the countryside of Cotignola (RA), at the point where the Senio river meets the Canale Emiliano Romagnolo. The theme of the year was "Don Quixote of Straw", a free transposition of the famous Cervantine classic.
The programme featured over fifty events including concerts, theatre, and moments of wonder. Among the highlights were the Teatro dei Venti of Modena with a show on stilts and windmills, Antonio Rezza with "Piteco", and Elena Bucci. The week in Cotignola was preceded, as is tradition, by the days of arena construction and a preview in Granarolo.
