Imperial Maccagno

Imperial Maccagno is the event that each year brings to life the medieval past of Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca, on Lake Maggiore, in the province of Varese. In 2025, guided tours, starting from the Civico Museo Parisi Valle, accompanied visitors in discovering the castle, the imperial mint, and the legends linked to the figure of Emperor Otto I. The tours were led by students from the tourism program at Isis Città di Luino, in a free event that enhances the historical and cultural heritage of the lakeside village, organized by Pro Loco Maccagno - Lago Maggiore.
