Illustramente – Illustration and Children's Literature Festival

The 12th edition of Illustramente, titled "Giufà comes from the sea," took place in Palermo from May 20 to 24, 2025, developing the theme "Giufà: a journey through the cultures of the Mediterranean and beyond." The inauguration was held on May 20 in the Agatuzza Messia Courtyard of the Giuseppe Pitrè Sicilian Ethnographic Museum.

The program spanned numerous city venues, from the Villa Trabia Library to the libraries of Pallavicino and Borgo Nuovo, and even the Orestiadi Foundation in Gibellina, which hosted the "Nautilus" exhibition. Guests included authors and illustrators such as Emanuela Bussolati, Cosetta Zanotti, Angelo Ruta, Sara Favarò, and Giorgia Trobia. There were also animated readings from the Pitrè repertoire, live streams, creative workshops, and an international exhibition of illustrated books. All events were free of charge.
