The 62nd edition
The 2025 edition of the Il Riccio d'Oro extemporaneous painting prize took place in Montelanico during the weekend of the 63rd Chestnut Festival, from October 17 to 19. The regulations, published by the Pro Loco Montelanico on September 13, 2025, opened participation to artists who created their works from life, in the glimpses of the historic center and at the panoramic points overlooking the Lepini Mountains.
The canvases were submitted and displayed to the public during the event, with the awards ceremony hosted in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. The 62nd edition also had a Roman coda: on December 5, 2025, the works of the ten finalists were exhibited in a collective show on Via Margutta, the street of artists in the heart of Rome, in collaboration with the Pro Loco Montelanico.
