Edition 2025 — Il Pianto della Madonna

In 2025, the Sannicola Easter Rites and Traditions Committee once again presented Il Pianto della Madonna – Passion Chants, an evening of sacred music and popular devotion in the Madonna delle Grazie Church. A Lenten event dedicated to the Virgin's sorrow, featuring ancient lauds, traditional Salento chants, and singer-songwriter pieces, with free admission.

During the Lent 2025 period, the Madonna delle Grazie Church in Sannicola, in the province of Lecce, hosted Il Pianto della Madonna – Passion Chants, promoted by the Easter Rites and Traditions Committee. The evening, centered on Mary's sorrow for the Passion of her Son, intertwined the repertoire of sacred music and Salento popular devotion with moments of narration, confirming itself as one of the most heartfelt appointments of the local Easter tradition in the Salento area of Puglia. Admission was free.
