The 2025 Edition

In the summer of 2025, the figurative arts festival promoted by the Pro Loco 'Paolo De Matteis' returned to Piano Vetrale, a hamlet of the Municipality of Orria in the Province of Salerno. As is tradition, the plein-air painting competition brought professional artists and enthusiasts to paint outdoors in the historic center, using the village of murals as both subject and atelier.

Alongside the competition, the edition featured collective exhibitions of painting, sculpture, and photography in the village spaces, musical evenings, and the awards ceremony—a moment deeply felt by the community and an opportunity for residents, returning emigrants, and visitors to meet.

Il Pennello d'Oro 2025 was part of the broader summer program in Piano Vetrale curated by the Pro Loco together with local associations, which alternated art, literature, music, and sports tournaments between July and August. A summer that confirms the vocation of this Cilento village: a town that has been telling its story through painting on the walls of its houses for nearly half a century.
