Il Passo Antico

From October 3 to 5, 2025, the Pernosano hamlet of Pago del Vallo di Lauro hosted the eighth edition of Il Passo Antico, the event promoted by the Comitato Festa Maria SS. delle Grazie with the Pro Loco and the patronage of the Municipality. The food and wine trail once again wound through the courtyards of the village, with stations dedicated to the rural cuisine of the Vallo di Lauro and local wine.

The evenings were enlivened by folk music, traditional songs, tammurriate, and tarantellas, while an exhibition of antique farm tools was set up in the courtyards. On Saturday, October 4, at 6:30 PM, the event also hosted a meeting as part of the regional festival Eccellenze e Tradizioni, at Santa Maria dell'Assunta in Pernosano: after greetings from Mayor Antonio Mercogliano, local producers and local administrators spoke, with a focus on the enhancement of agricultural production in the Vallo di Lauro, followed by a tasting of food and wine products.

Friday 3, Saturday 4, and Sunday 5 October 2025: food and wine trail through the alleys and courtyards of Pernosano, starting from via Marco Longo. Traditional rural Irpinian dishes and local wine at stations set up in the courtyards. Folk music, traditional songs, tammurriate, and tarantellas. Exhibition of antique farm tools and period costumes. Saturday, October 4, 6:30 PM, at Santa Maria dell'Assunta in Pernosano: meeting of the Eccellenze e Tradizioni festival promoted by the Campania Region, with greetings from Mayor Antonio Mercogliano and speeches by local producers and administrators, followed by a tasting of typical products.
