Il Geometra Sognante

Seventh edition, August 27-30, 2025

From August 27 to 30, 2025, Piazza Mario Frasca in Orta Nova hosted the seventh edition of Il Geometra Sognante, four free evenings of concerts, shows, workshops, and conferences. The festival, organized by the APS ARCI MAO FM 19.77 ETS with the Municipality of Orta Nova, wove together music, theater, and civil commitment, remaining faithful to the memory of Maurizio Ferrandina.

Among the events were book presentations, concerts by local bands and singer-songwriters, dance performances, a conference on gender-based violence, and a civil monologue dedicated to Giuseppe Di Vittorio, with the closing entrusted to the Place Orkestra and the great hits of the 70s and 80s.

Day 1 — Wednesday, August 27

• "Waiting for Il Geometra Sognante" and Mad Park, workshops and entertainment for children
• 7:15 PM — CineC-Lab, "Stitch" themed screening
• ChitarBar Karaoke with Danilo Rubino

Day 2 — Thursday, August 28

• 7:30 PM — presentation of the book "Anche la matita se n'è accorta" by Monsieur David
• Dance performance by A.S.D. Blu Fantasy
• Live concerts: Rita Ferrante, Radio Moresco, and 80Voglia

Day 3 — Friday, August 29

• Conference on gender-based violence by Viola Dauna
• Theatrical show "La Danse du pied"
• Live music with Diamesia Band, TenDance, and MAO Sauce

Day 4 — Saturday, August 30

• Musical-theatrical monologue "La dignità: Lettera di Giuseppe Di Vittorio"
• Parole & Note concert
• Grand finale with Place Orkestra and the hits of the 70s and 80s
