Edition 2025 — Il Federiciano

The 17th edition of the Il Federiciano Festival brought Augusta to life from August 28 to 31, 2025, for the third consecutive year in the 'Village of Poetry'. Over two thousand poets were expected from all over Italy and abroad, with bookings up 30% compared to the previous year. Four days of readings, impromptu poetry sessions in the squares, and awards ceremonies, culminating in a major concert by Morgan at Piazza Castello on the evening of August 30. Jury president: Hafez Haidar.

The 17th edition in Augusta

From August 28 to 31, 2025, the historic center of Augusta hosted the seventeenth edition of the Il Federiciano Festival, with over two thousand poets expected from all over Italy and abroad. The Municipality of Augusta supported the event, which has become a defining appointment for the city.

The festival opened on Thursday, August 28, at the Town Hall (Salone Rocco Chinnici) with the official inauguration. On Friday, August 29, and Sunday, August 31, the impromptu poetry sessions took place, with authors composing verses based on common themes. Saturday, August 30, the highlight day, featured a gathering at Piazza Duomo, the unveiling of new ceramic steles at the 'Largo dei Poeti Federiciani', and simultaneous readings in the three squares of the center.

The most anticipated moment was the concert by Morgan, who was awarded out of competition, on the evening of Saturday, August 30, in Piazza Castello. Guests also included Giuseppe Aletti, the godmother Mariapaola Tedesco, and singer-songwriter Francesco Baccini.
