Edition 2025 — Il Crastatone

The 58th edition of Il Crastatone took place in Piancastagnaio from October 31st to November 2nd, 2025. For three days, the medieval village celebrated the Mount Amiata chestnut with stalls from the four districts, featuring crastate, monne brodolose, suggioli, and local red wine. Among the most popular events were the show-cooking by TV chef Luca Pappagallo and the cultural initiative "Seeds of History" dedicated to Amiata food culture.

Il Crastatone 2025

The 58th edition of Il Crastatone was held in Piancastagnaio from October 31st to November 2nd, 2025. The four districts—Borgo, Castello, Coro, and Voltaia—enlivened the historic center with traditional stalls featuring Mount Amiata chestnuts: crastate, monne brodolose, and suggioli, accompanied by local red wine.

Key events included the show-cooking by Luca Pappagallo, Food Network TV chef, on Saturday, November 1st, and conferences at the Rocca Aldobrandesca and the Town Hall, with the "Seeds of History" initiative in collaboration with the Amiata Food Community. There was no shortage of street performances, concerts, folk songs, and craft exhibitions.
