Il Bianco e l'Azzurro

The 22nd edition of Il Bianco e l'Azzurro was held in San Quirico d'Orcia from May 23 to 25, 2025, with a theme dedicated to the Jubilee: «The Great Jubilee on the Via Francigena in the Middle Ages». The Quartiere di Canneti festival featured flag-wavers, drummers, trumpeters, archers, medieval music and dances, as well as a banquet with a show in the shadow of the 13th-century walls and the six-meter trebuchet built by hand by the Quartiere's artisans.

Among the events were the opening ceremony with the proclamation of the Captain and the waving of the white and blue banner, dinners in Piazzetta di Porta Nuova with handmade pici and Orcia wine, urban theatrical trekking along the Via Francigena, and the «Trofeo Val d'Orcia Medievale» archery tournament at the Horti Leonini.
