Edition 2025 — 'I Nuotti r'u Pagliaro
Seventh edition, August 2025
From Friday, August 8th to Monday, August 11th, 2025, the Pagliarole district, in the municipality of Omignano (Salerno province, Campania), hosted the seventh edition of 'I Nuotti r'u Pagliaro, the festival that the Associazione Pagliarolese dedicates to the memory of the Cilento farming world.
In 2025, the festival route was once again set up with characteristic straw replicas of ancient crafts and the scarecrows that once protected wheat fields. The evenings alternated between folk music—pizziche, tammurriate, and tarantellas performed live—street performances, and activities for children.
On the gastronomic front, the stalls offered the repertoire of Cilento peasant cuisine, with the signature dish 'u cavato cu 'u filoscio, local cheeses and cured meats, homemade desserts, and wine produced in the local hills. The 2025 edition confirmed the formula that has made the festival a mid-summer staple in the Cilento hinterland, in anticipation of the eighth edition in August 2026.
