Edition 2025 — I Magnin
In 2025, the Magnin of Frossasco returned on the night of Shrove Thursday, February 27. The young conscripts, covered in soot from head to toe and wrapped in traditional black capes, traveled through the town streets, evoking the ancient coppersmiths and chimney sweeps. Between carts turned into tractors and the playful presence of the plandrasa, the group collected goods and donations for charity, before visiting the children at the local schools.
The 2025 edition of the Magnin festival was held in Frossasco on the evening of Shrove Thursday, February 27. Faithful to a tradition that evokes the ancient coppersmiths of Piedmont, the town's conscripts wore black capes and covered themselves in soot, crossing the village for the traditional charitable collection. In 2025, the plandrasa also added color and joy to the festival, while on Friday morning, the Magnin brought smiles and fun to the children at the schools of Frossasco.
