Edition 2025 — Hortus Festival

In 2025, the Crucifix Feast in Massignano had not yet taken place: the historic orange grove of the Tenuta Baia was in the full phase of restoration thanks to PNRR funding dedicated to historic Parks and Gardens. The feast, which had disappeared for over seventy years, would only return the following year, with the inauguration of Hortus in April 2026.

In 2025, the Borgo del Crocifisso of Massignano was still experiencing the final months of the extensive restoration work. The ancient 18th-century orange grove of the Tenuta Baia, destined to become Hortus, was undergoing a restoration project made possible by funding of approximately one million euros obtained through the PNRR call "Historic Parks and Gardens". The historic Crucifix Feast, interrupted for over seventy years, was not held in this year: the community of Massignano had to wait until 2026 to see the tradition reborn and finally open the monumental citrus garden to the public.
