Edition 2025 — Hornkirchtag

In the summer of 2025, the Rittner Horn hosted the Hornkirchtag, the traditional alpine festival of the Ritten plateau. The day followed the usual schedule: welcoming melodies in the morning, mountain mass at 11:00 AM at the Unterhorn-Bildstöckl, and a long session of Weisenblasen and folk music among the summit huts and pastures, with traditional dancing until the afternoon.

Hornkirchtag 2025

The 2025 edition of the Hornkirchtag took place on the summit of the Rittner Horn, in the municipality of Ritten (Bolzano, South Tyrol). As per tradition, the festival began in the morning with Begrüßungsweisen and reached its central moment with the mountain mass celebrated at 11:00 AM at the Unterhorn-Bildstöckl, accompanied by participating musical groups.

In the afternoon, the pasture area and the huts came alive with Weisenblasen, alpine folk music, and traditional dances, in a day of celebration set against the backdrop of the Dolomites. As every year, the event was held only thanks to favorable weather conditions.
