Honey and Local Products Festival

A festival dedicated to bees and the land

The Honey and Local Products Festival is a spring event held at Centroparco in Segrate, on Via San Rocco, in the Municipality of Segrate, in the Province of Milan. Born as part of the 'Save the Bees' project, the festival combines the promotion of local products with awareness-raising about the fundamental role of bees.

The market

The heart of the day is the market of local products, where you can buy:

• various types of honey;
• honey and beeswax-based cosmetics;
• zero-kilometer fruits and vegetables;
• typical gastronomic specialties, plants, and flowers.

Beekeepers for a day

Among the most anticipated experiences is the opportunity to become "beekeepers for a day": participants learn how to care for a beehive and observe the queen bee, workers, and drones up close. Interactive workshops and informational material complete the program dedicated to younger visitors, focusing on the role of bees in pollination and the threats that endanger these species.

For the whole family

There are also workshops for children and activities for the whole family: traditional wooden games, honey and bread snacks, a food area, and musical entertainment. With free admission, the Honey Festival is a perfect day to spend outdoors and rediscover the connection with nature, just a stone's throw from Milan.
