Homemade Bread Festival

The 2025 edition of the Homemade Bread Festival confirmed the vitality of one of the most deeply rooted traditions of Buscemi, in the heart of the Iblei Mountains in the province of Syracuse. As is customary, the festival enlivened the historic center of the open-air museum village with the preparation and baking of homemade bread in wood-fired ovens, accompanied by tastings of local products, from PDO Monti Iblei olive oil to the flavors of the rural table.

The event, deeply felt and well-attended by the community, represented an opportunity in 2025 as well to enhance the ethno-anthropological heritage of the village and to welcome visitors in an atmosphere of conviviality and rediscovery of their roots.
