The 2025 Edition
The 2025 Holy Week in Lipari confirmed the charm of its rituals, among the most evocative in Sicily. On Good Friday, the Procession of the Mysteries crossed the historic center with the ancient papier-mâché and plaster varette, carried on shoulders by the confraternities and accompanied by the solemn sound of the band and the troccole. On Easter Sunday, at Marina Corta, the Meeting between the Risen Christ and the Madonna renewed the joy of Easter before a large crowd of residents and visitors. The celebrations, organized by the Confraternity of Maria SS. Addolorata, saw the participation of the clergy, varette bearers, and island associations.
