Holy Week / Procession of the Mysteries

The 2025 Holy Week in San Nicandro Garganico followed the traditional calendar of Passion rites. On Wednesday, April 16, at 8:30 PM, the local Via Crucis departed from the Mother Church. On Thursday, April 17, from 9:00 PM, the faithful visited the Sepulchres set up at the solemnly decorated altars in the town's churches. On Friday, April 18, at 9:30 AM, the translation of the venerated statue of Our Lady of Sorrows to the Mother Church took place, and at 7:00 PM, the solemn Procession of the Mysteries crossed the historic center accompanied by the Good Friday Singers. The event was included in the regional calendar of Holy Week events in Puglia.
